Tyvek fabric 50cm x 75cm (Like Fibretex)
What is it? Tyvek (pronounced TIE-veck) is a high – density polyethylene synthetic paper like material; the name is a registered trademark of the DuPont Company. Tyvek is very difficult to tear but can easily be cut by scissors or a craft knife. It can be coloured with almost anything including: Felt tip pens, Paint, crayons, fabric paints or printed with an inkjet printer.
Our Tyvek fabric has a wide range of art and craft applications these include:
- Card making and scrap booking – create your own highly original card toppers and backgrounds!
-
Embroidery – Widely used in the creative textile sector to add texture to work.
-
Model Making - Add Texture to your models.
Tyvek fabric has a softer feel and is more flexible than the paper type sheets and has a slight texture to it. It is ideal for stitching into either before or after distortion.
